That's a good question Rick raises. Outside of the Rumble and Wrestlemania, which sell themselves, what does it take to make you pull the trigger and drop $50 or $60 on a PPV?
For me, I think there has to be at least one match that feels special, and one or two others that feel like they could be good.
I bought Money in the Bank this year because it's been one of the better PPVs of the last few years and the ladder matches are always fun. And, God help me, I was sold on the Henry-Cena match.
Summerfest might fall into the Rumble/Mania category of being a big event, and MITB is quickly getting there. Other than that, I don't think I've ever bought a PPV. Certainly none of the off-brand, dollar store bargain bin PPVs like Battleground.

I've never bought a PPV myself, but I have gone in on Mania with some friends.

    All others I watch online.

The only PPV outside of Mania and the Rumble I've purchased was Money in the Bank 2011. If you have to ask, FOR SHAME!

When I was single and had cable, I bought them all...WWE *and* TNA, and I watched basically every weekly show. But having a $200-or-so cable bill every month got to be old. TNA went first, then many of the WWE PPVs stopped piquing my interest. Then I canceled my cable, and now I only stream the big four.

I've never bought a PPV, although when I was a teen, I once tried to order WM 6 the day of the event, thinking the cable company had someone just sitting at their desk on a Sunday ready to take my order.

In the late 90s, I had friends who would order some PPVs, and tape them. I'd kick in a few bucks to them so I could see the tape on Monday afternoon. I thought I was living large back then.

In the past few years, I think I have ordered the '11 and '12 Rumbles, Wrestlemanias XVII and XVIII, and Money in the Bank 2011.

I have also attended the Capital Punishment PPV live (because it was cheap and I lived about 15 minutes away) and Wrestlemania 29. I also went to Raw the night after 'Mania. The entire Wrestlemania experience was amazing. The Raw after 'Mania will go down as one of the most fun experiences of my life.

I usually try and order the Rumble and Mania.

That's what I did when I was in middle school.

I still have the tape from Bash at the Beach, when Hogan joined the nWo, somewhere at home.

I pay for 'Mania, maybe the Rumble. Should be interesting this year since I cut cable and have to rely on WWE.com to stream it.
