And for 30 years or so, the damn belt was called the WWWF/WWF/WWE World Heavyweight championship, until they had split it.

Oh, and Orton wins cleanly by the rules of the match (i.e., none). Somebody had to win it, I guess, might as well be him.

Wow. First show I was actually excited for in quite a while, and it's boring as fuck.

    Holy shit.

You know things are bad when the damn tag match is better than your main event. The crowd just seemed flat for the last match, and having the two filler matches right before had a lot to do with that. Stupid booking yet again.

Do they go for the WM III attendance record?
Next year's is at the new 49ers stadium in Santa Clara, BTW.

Next year's will be weird. Not a fan of the outdoor Manias and having it completely during daylight will also be weird. Last time that happened it was WM 9 and that show was.........um...........not good.

Will it really be any different than WM26 a few years ago? That one was in Arizona. I can't imagine it would be much different and it should still be dark by the main event.

The Arizona one was in a dome, though. There might have been one last year, but the last daylight WM match I really remember was Bryan-Sheamus as the 18-second card opener in Miami.

The Miz-Barrett match was in daylight but it was pretty cloudy by that point last year.
And I feel like there were a lot of daylight WM matches, mostly at the start of the shows. Wasn't the Seattle WM entirely outdoors?

Safeco Field. Retractable roof. Not sure if it was open or not.

I remember being awestruck at getting my first 1080 HDTV and the first thing I watched was Wrestlemania 24 in Orlando. Outdoors. First few matches in the daylight and dusk. The clarity of picture blew me away. I like the arena WMs, but the biggest con is that you can't tell how the crowd is reacting if you're a TV watcher.

    Hells yes.

And, I didn't know Fatt Hardy was still working. I know I'm in the minority, but I was never a big mark for the Hardyz. More of an E&C guy.

ICON? Has Matt Hardy fallen so far he has to shop at Roddy Piper's garage sale?
