Was Virginia supposed to be Virginia Tech in the also receiving votes category? Tech's 2-1 coming off a win, Virginia's 1-1 coming off a bye.

    I am the Clemson voter.

I tend to vote based on who has the strongest wins to date. I consider Georgia to be a much better team than Texas A&M so my top five is:

    Clemson
    Alabama
    Oregon
    LSU
    Georgia

My poll tends to shift a lot week to week. I quickly devalue wins as I get more info. For example, I considered LSU's win against TCU to be very impressive.... until this week.

My top 5 last week was:

    Clemson
    LSU
    Georgia
    Alabama
    Oregon

I try to eliminate "who will be best at the end" as much as possible from my weekly votes and base my poll mostly on "who did you beat?"

The person who really needs to show himself for a beating is the one who has Colorado at No. 25. That passes no one's smell test.

No, I went back and checked ... no votes for Va. Tech, and just one No. 24 vote for Virginia.

I'm not positive, but I think the Va. Tech voter(s) didn't send a ballot this week.

Virginia vote's Virginia and it's mine.

They get credit for beating a BYU team that crushed Texas and playing Oregon, despite getting crushed, and that's why they sneak in. Early season byes skew things a little bit. There's a chance if they had played this past weekend, they might not be in. But I go with what has happened.

I have the same 23 as the poll's top five except for Florida and Texas Tech. My last two spots are Virginia and BYU

Sorry I missed the vote this week. I was adrift in a personal dilemma.

Am I the only voter in this poll who thinks Miami is wildly overrated? I watched their win over Florida, and I was not impressed.

They had what amounted to one decent drive on offense and their strategy on defense seemed to be let Florida run up and down the field, then wait for Jeff Driskill to make a mistake in the red zone. It worked this time, but if that's the plan against FSU, good luck.

I, too, watched that game, but I came away very impressed. Florida is a very good team.

That definitive three-point home victory on opening weekend against a young team really convinced some folks, huh?

Hypothetical: Clemson goes 12-1, winning the Atlantic Coast Conference title but losing to South Carolina. Georgia goes 12-1, winning the Southeastern Conference title. Oregon goes 13-0 as the only undefeated in the country. Who should Oregon get in the title game?

    1. People shit all over the ACC, even after the ACC beats one of the 3 SEC favorites.

    2. Let's cross your hypothetical bridge when we have those two 12-1s and the 13-0 even though we both know the Slobbering of the SEC™ would most likely continue because it just wouldn't be a BCS Title Game without the SEC.

    3. Not buying your "young" line. Georgia has 12 starters back -- 10 on offense (2 on defense). Clemson has 13 starters back (6 on defense). How is one more young than the other? They are basically the same team.
