Pretty good "turnout" so far ... I've got about three-fourths of the ballots as I type this. Thanks to all who have voted!

If you haven't voted yet, please get your ballot to me via PM by NOON tomorrow (Central time).

I think Florida and A&M are the most likely candidates with South Carolina right there as well. Florida plays an insane schedule this year.

Actually, you're right, a closer look at Florida's schedule does show it's more difficult than I quickly realized. Florida is better than Miami, but playing in Coral Gables is an interesting twist if nothing else. Plus games against South Carolina and LSU are both on the road, and since Georgia is playing theoretical host to this year's World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, the Gators only have three conference home games. Even Toledo as the opener isn't easy.

Never discount Toledo. And, if anything, take the over no matter what it is. Toledo always scores, and they always get scored on.

You mean like the Golden Hurricane'sRockets' last meeting with a Southeastern Conference team, that barnburner of a 19-15 loss to Arkansas? Toledo topped 40 points once in its last eight games last season. And Will Muschamp is a defensive-minded coach who will be without his best running back.

    Last year the combined points in games included: 65, 66, 85, 99, 61, 58.

    In 2011: 80, 63, 70, 77, 123, 129, 61, 83.

    '10 was a down year: 71, 95, 73, 66.

    '09: 83, 93, 72, 67, 84, 84, 69

Of course not every single week will be lights-out offense, but more times than not Toledo and its opponent are putting up points.

I would count on the better team to set the tempo in any college football game. Toledo didn't reach 30 in any of its four losses last season. Florida's offense isn't run by Steve Spurrier anymore.

Re: College Football Poll: MEET THE 2013 VOTERS

I've been waiting for a season where the SEC beats up on each other so much that the conference gets shut out of the title game completely. I think it's bound to happen eventually, although probably not this season.

Florida has one easy game this season, Georgia Southern.

I think they will beat Missouri, Kentucky, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Toledo, but it's not unimaginable to think they could lose one of those.

Then there's: at Miami, at LSU, Georgia (neutral), at South Carolina and vs. Florida State

I would think they would need to be incredibly lucky to only lose three.

Meanwhile, Alabama has a schedule, where there's really only two games that even seem dangerous. That's not to say it's an easy schedule, but A&M and LSU are the only that seem like there's any chance they could lose.
