In Columbus, John Davidson dismisses Scott Howson and names Jarmo Kekalainen as new GM.

This is huge move in the right direction for the Blue Jackets. Columbus has screwed up several first-round draft choices and that is a heck of a lot less likely now. I would classify Kekalainen as a super-scout. He was a huge part of the turnaround in St. Louis and spent seven seasons with Ottawa. He was a candidate for GM in St. Louis but got bumped out by Doug Armstrong (no slap at Armstrong, he's done well).

Jarmo will have three first-rounders in June. Columbus got a whole lot better today.

I was half asleep but it seemed like nearly all of the Isles' goals were power play.

All four were with the man advantage. Whalercanes hadn't given up that many in one game since 2005. Discouraging, but then again they somehow won.

Allen in goal for the Blues in Detroit. One shot, one goal. Can only get better from here, I guess.

Ducks sent out emails the other day announcing a sliding price structure, i.e., the prices will go up for the more attractive games such as Detroit, Chicago, San Jose and L.A.

Prices Going Up Wednesday - Buy Now!
With our dynamic pricing structure, the price of tickets may increase or decrease depending on several factors like opponent, day of the game, and overall demand. Traditionally, fans who purchase their tickets earlier are more likely to get the best value.

Secure your seats NOW for the March 20th game vs the Chicago Blackhawks & the March 22nd game vs the Detroit Red Wings because starting this Wednesday, ticket prices will go up. Take advantage of the current prices and buy your tickets now!

It's probably just me, but the posts on my computer are stretching WAY over to the right side. What can I do to fix this? Thanx.

Meh, I'm not overly offended by this. They are trying to encourage sens fans to sell out the building for games against the Leafs and Habs. To do this they are offering Sens Insiders -- whatever that is, I am assuming you sign up to be one, you get a daily news letter and other offers, maybe you have to pay a membership fee to be an Insider, I have no idea. They aren't saying if you buy the ticket you have to cheer for the Sens, but more hoping that Insiders are Sens fans to begin with. They're only stipulation is, if you buy the ticket, you have to use it. Don't scalp it to make a profit off the sale. It's a smart idea. If you're a Leafs fan and want to get in on it, sign up and become a Sens Insider, buy the ticket and cheer for the Leafs. Even if there is a registration fee, it wills till be cheaper than going to the ACC.

I'm sure it was a complete accident on Matt Cooke's part.

I hate Matt Cooke more than any player in the league but that was not intentional at all.
