You know Christopher Evan Welch died, right? I was surprised he didn't get a posthumous nomination.

That last episode paid for a lot of sins, series-wise, this season.

Of the 12 shows nominated for either Outstanding Drama or Comedy, I've seen exactly two.

And yes, I work in television.

Kinda surprised to see the organizers let the networks game the system like they did this year. The guest actress nominees for "Orange is the New Black" were all regulars, and no way some of those "miniseries" should fall in that category.

Another note: "The Normal Heart" should win in just about every category in which it was nominated. Just a superb film with amazing acting.

Robert Morse was also nominated as a "guest actor" for Mad Men, even though his name appears in the opening credits of every episode.

Caleb Hannan felt a chill run up his spine when he learned that Laverne Cox had been nominated in the guest actress category.

Agree on Norris, but the BB producers may have been going all-in to get Paul another Emmy and if you have multiple people from the same show nominated in the same category, sometimes the votes get split.

Modern Family has proven this theory is not always accurate, but it can hurt someone's chances of winning.

House of Cards jumped the shark very early when it depicted the majority leader of the U.S. House of Representatives in a trench coat, hat and sunglasses pushing a reporter into the path of an oncoming subway. Not that a congressman hasn't wanted to do that (and the other way around) but a guy with that kind of power would hire a thug to do it. Also, how long do you think the news would last that the vice-president of the U.S. engaged in a three-way with his wife and a secret service agent? Honestly, that was an unrealistic scene and simply pandered. It's too bad because almost everything else about House of Cards has been great.

If by "jumped the shark," you mean one of the most delicious twists in recent TV history, I'm with ya! ;D

I fear that when it comes to the best actor in a drama series that they voters are just going to mail it in and give it to Cranston, and I don't think he deserves it so much this time.

McConaughey was absolutely superb in TD, but as someone pointed out, he might lose some votes because of Harrelson's nomination.

And before you think I'm just hating on Breaking Bad, I loved the show btw, Aaron Paul absolutely deserves the supporting actor award. He shined bright IMO

Cranston was simply fantastic this year.

Orange is the New Black is not comedy.
