    Last year's draft was dreadful.

Who? Take your pick. Oladipo, Carter-Williams, Trey Burke, Cody Zeller, Mason Plumlee, Tim Hardaway, Jr., Kelly Olynick, Nate Wolters, Steven Adams and that greek dude in Milwaukee are a few rookies that come to mind that clearlylooked better than Bennett this year. But, then, nearly everyone who stepped on the floor this year looked better than Bennett.

Even by last year's low draft standards, the Cavs completely blew that pick.

Rafael Araujo at number eight for the Raptors is one the bigger bust in the last twenty years.

But, Rob Babcock was the general manager at the time and he's a complete moron.

Of the players you mentioned, how many were in the conversation for being a top three selection? Oladipo, Trey Burke, Porter and Bennett. That's it. And I am not sure, after one season playing for Mike Brown, everyone is ready to call the pick a bust already. If he has another awful season, yeah...but to call it a bust already is short-sighted.

Last year's draft was tough. I would have taken Noel, McLemore and Oladipo over Bennett.

If there isn't a significant turnaround, it may go down as one of the worst ever.

I had a good friend getting recruited by Barton when Alek was there and several guys on our high school team played in its summer league, so we got to know him pretty well and he was a nice guy, but I don't think there was a single person there who thought he was a first round pick.

Embiid out 4-6 months after successful foot surgery.

Then becomes awesome and in 10 years we talk about how the league faked the injury as part of their pro-Lakers conspiracies.

That draft is one of the worst in any sport ever. Martin, Jamaal Magliore (No. 19 overall) and second-rounder Michael Redd are the only guys taken that year who have ever made an All-Star team. Redd was the only one who was ever All-NBA.

    I'm in.

Seriously ... shouldn't this mean teams take him off their draft boards completely, or at least out of the first round? Do foot injuries ever stop for big men?

Very rarely. I'd be scared to death to take Embiid now (especially since he also has back issues). Foot stress fractures are traditionally the big man's harbinger of career death, it's what prematurely took down Walton, McHale, Smits, Yao and lord only knows how many other notable bigs over the years. Once their foot bones started breaking, they kept breaking...

Except with those guys the stress fractures didn't start until after they'd been in the league for quite a few years. With Embiid it's already happening at the age of 19.
