And that could be the grand finale for NBA players playing in these exhibition wastes-of-time.

As Windhorst notes, the basket stanchions tonight appeared to be significantly closer than the NBA standard:



I think this is an issue that needs to be better addressed. NBA players come flying down the lane way too fast to expect them to slam on the brakes that abruptly to avoid hitting the basket support. Same situation when Nerlens Noel blew out his knee, same situation with George snapping his leg tonight, and we'll see more of these if we keep allowing these shorter distance stanchions to be rolled out for events like this. Needs to be a regulated absolute minimum distance, even in these non-NBA competitions.

 

And he'll be back before Derrick Rose

 

I can't imagine many players lining up to play in these games after that. Wow.

As one of the resident Pacers fanbois, it's incredibly frustrating. Seems like every time they get close to putting together a legit title contender something goes horribly wrong.

 

Definitely not for the queasy of stomach.

 

That may be in the Top 5 of all time gruesome leg injuries.
