Why? We've seen amble evidence of high picks failing and low picks succeeding. I'd be more concerned about which team I was going to and who the coaches were.

Three of the four guys doing mocks at CBS Sports have Bortles going No. 1.

All four have three QBs taken in the top five picks...

I think Bortles has a lot of upside, but could have benefitted from another year at UCF. Of course, if you're going to be a top 5 or even top 10 pick, I suspect it's tempting to pass that up in this age of instant gratification.

Unless Bortles tears up the combine, and his pro day, I can't imagine him going No. 1, especially if the Texans keep the pick...

Bortles strikes me as a less athletic Jake Locker.

One would hope the NFL has learned its lesson about falling in love with the QB prospect who has been scouted and picked apart and prodded the least.

That's not to say Bortles isn't good or not deserving of top pick consideration, but it's interesting that we've been hearing for months about how Bridgewater is easily the top prospect of the bunch and now the focus has shifted to Bortles and Manziel.

To me one of the most intriguing players in draft is TE Jace Amaro from Texas Tech.

I'm not an NFL scout, so all the Bortles love has me questioning my own evaluation. But Bridgewater looks by for the most NFL-ready, AND I think he has a higher ceiling than Bortles. You could talk me into Manziel - while being less NFL-ready as a passer - having a higher ceiling than Bridgewater (but also a lower basement), so I could see some debate between the two of them. The Bortles love baffles me.

Everybody wants to see his girlfriend. As top pick great chance of multiple
    shots in green room.

:) OK. I can get on board for that.

Eric Ebron from North Carolina is another stud TE.

It just goes to show how subjective the whole process is. Some teams love a certain guy and others don't. To me, that's part of the intrigue of it all. And, of course, there will probably be a non first-rounder somewhere who will make it as a starter, like Russell Wilson and Tom Brady.
