I read something, in SI I think, that said Bridgewater didn't compare favorably to any of the QBs who have gone top 5 recently, Bradford, Stafford, Newton, RG3, Luck, Ryan... All those guys except Bradford are pretty good, but if he's not as good as any of those guys it's easy to see why he's slipping.

I'd be curious to read the piece if you can find it. What areas does he not compare favorably in? My love of him comes form his amazing accuracy and seemingly strong ability to read defenses. In those two areas I think he's better coming out of college than any of the players listed except Luck.

I can understand that sentiment. The puzzling part to me is how these opinions shift. Bortles hasn't been in the spotlight as long as Bridgewater or Manziel. Scouts have had plenty of tape on these guys and time to dissect their games. But, hey, it's all opinions anyway.

Cool. Interesting read. Thanks for sharing. Was interesting to see some of the different comps.
It was also fun reading to just see how different scouts clearly prioritize different things in QBs.

It's easy to forget what a huge prospect Bradford was since he was injured the year before he went No. 1.

Johnny Manziel checks in at 5-foot-11 3/4 at the combine:

I wonder who the last QB under 6-foot to be taken in the first round is.

On the radio driving in to work, they were making a big deal of how he had the biggest hands of the big 3 QBs.
