One would think that would help immensely, yes.

Sorry OOP, so Smith did. Substitute Jake Locker in my previous post.

Logan Thomas, VT, did well at the combine

According to the NFL’s official results, Thomas was the fastest quarterback in the 40-yard dash (4.61 seconds), had the best vertical jump of any quarterback (35.5 inches) and the best broad jump (9 feet, 10 inches). 6-foot-6 and 248 pounds

Too bad he can't hit the broad side of a barn when throwing a football from 10 yards away.

Overall it's one of the better QB groups in a while.

At this point I'd be shocked if Clowney does not go 1 or 2.

Bortles seems to really carry himself in a mature manner which
I'm sure makes it a tougher decision when comparing him to Manziel.

He's a monster. Canon for an arm and soft touch on the ball. He's a 20 feet of tape type of player, but when you look at his stats you make the person get the right stats, because you cannot believe this kid is doing that on the game field.

If he turns into a great pro, every coach at Virginia Tech should be fired, because this kid was garbage as a Hokie for the last two years.

Max Bishop, an All-Star second baseman for the Philadelphia A's in the 1930s, was known as "Camera Eye."

But I've never heard of "Camera Arm."

Said it all weekend in Indy - Bortles is a combination of Tim Couch and Blaine Gabbert. I do not understand the hype.

You could very well be right but from what I've seen the guy carries himself
like a pro. He seems very mature and committed to putting the work in. Seems like
the type of QB that NFL owners want as the face of their franchise.

So you'd have to give up this year's No. 1 pick (No. 6 overall) AND whatever your No. 1 pick is next year to move up a few spots? Damn, that's a steep price.

If you pick a QB, you're going to have to be willing to be patient and let him grow into the job. This ain't Andrew Luck.
