I agree. I think Bridgewater is by far the safest pick among the quarterbacks. I just wonder if they try to trade back a couple slots if they know the Browns or Jags want Manziel or Bortles.

One of the dumbest statements ever by someone smart enough to know better...

The San Diego State running back who left the Combine because God told him to, communicating via "numbers," has gone missing:

Hope this ends well. Doubt that it does.

Yeah, Creosote ... moran. Oh, wait. You meant Jaworski? :)

Manziel is NOT a third-round pick. But I don't thinks he's a top-five pick either. He should be a late first-rounder, but his playmaking ability is pushing his stock. Problem is, as Jaworski and others have said, that playmaking ability won't be quite the same against the big boys. And he might just get himself killed if he tries some of those plays he made in college.

Hell, I would have said that, too. I was sold on Rodgers the day I watched him nearly lead Cal to an upset of a star-studded USC team at the LA Coliseum. Just had tremendous sense of who was open and where to throw the ball, didn't force stuff downfield too often.

What's ironic about Rodgers is that although I think he could have started and been Ok as a rookie, he benefitted from not having to play immediately. Smith and some of the others didn't get that luxury.

I think Bridgewater is the most ready to play immediately of the QBs. Four years down the road? Someone else may develop better, hard to know.

Really liked this Gruden interview with Manziel. Really like how Manziel handled himself.

Jaworski is more correct than those who believe Manziel is the No. 1 player in the draft.

Rodgers would have been a disaster as a rookie. He needed a QB guru to come in and get rid of all his bad habits and he didn't have that until McCarthy and Tom Clements arrived his second season.

I was in the camp that Rodgers would be better than Smith. I had watched most of his games at Cal I thought Smith was just a product of his coach and his offense at Utah.

I thought he did well. I thought Gruden came off like a douche.

There are coaches in the league who would be great for Manziel - Kelly, Carroll, John Fox...if I'm a first or second year head coach in the NFL, I don't know if I want my career to depend on Manziel. I don't think O'Brien or the Browns will take him. Jacksonville? With Bradley spending time in Seattle? Yes.
