When the Kings drafted Billy Owens, you can see him mouthing either "oh fuck," or "oh shit" as he's walking to the podium. He was also traded before he ever played a game for them.

If you have a problem with a particular team, settle it behind closed doors. Just making a fool of yourself when the cameras are rolling doesn't help anyone. A team thinks enough of you to spend a draft choice on you, try to act like an adult and show some respect.

I guess. Casper then went back to the Raiders, where he played seven games and caught a grand total of four passes before retiring.

Steckel ran him off was my impression.

Whether Casper could still play I don't think was the question at the time. Playing for Steckel was the question I would imagine. Good for Casper for getting out of a bad situation in Minnesota.

Kiper now has Bridgewater as a second-rounder.

He also had Khalil Mack No. 1 overall in his last mock. It's what these ESPN guys do so they can have something to fill airtime. Kiper's mock will probably change two more times before the draft begins.

Most of the draft pundits change their mocks at least once a week. I've seen other mocks where Bridgewater is taken at No. 26 by the Browns.

Consensus seems to be that the guy is going to take a tumble.

Followed soon after by a 4,000-word LeBetard takeout in ESPN the Magazine talking about how Bridgewater has been overcoming the odds ever since his days in crime-riddled northwest Miami.

Or that he's falling because he's black.

Only one team in the NFL was right about Tom Brady.

Teams too often talk themselves out of drafting a player, and this late draft seems to be a good example of that.

No team was right about Tom Brady. The Patriots got lucky because the QB they took a flier on turned into a superstar.

Obviously, coaching had a lot to do with that, as did Brady's ability to respond to coaching, and his work ethic, but trying to sound like a genius because a guy they took that late in the draft is just complete bullshit.
