Maybe they just should have provided Johnny with one of those beer hats.

Love the Anthony Barr pick for the Vikings at No. 9. Ebron will be a stud tight end.

BTW ... Manziel is going to drop to the Cowboys now. Bank on it.

Is it possible there's too many quarterbacks available in this draft?
A lot of teams need one, but a lot of them might feel comfortable enough with the second tier of guys to pass up the ones on the first level, figuring they can go 2-for-1 and still get a good QB in the second round. If this continues much longer, there's going to be some ridiculous steals in the second round -- or some desperate trades as these teams try to move back into the first round later tonight to get their guy before the run starts.

Agreed. Evans is a stud. Manziel wouldn't have put up such big numbers if Evans wasn't there to catch all those passes.

ESPN folks are panning the pick. I have faith in Zimmer with linebackers, though.

If there's no trade, the next five teams have QBs: Locker-EManning-Bradford-Cutler-Roethlisberger.

He has some big downsides, one of which is the same as Robert Griffin's -- he gets hit hard. A lot.

    batman,

I just think the QBs that are available are not franchise players. They're reaches: Matthew Stafford, Sam Bradford types. They'll get picked later in the first round or second round. It's possible Derek Carr might go before Bridgewater or Manziel.

I really did expect Cleveland to take a quarterback. Maybe they think their guy will still be available with their later first-round pick.
