I wouldn't write Robert Griffin's obit just yet, either.

It's possible there are too few first-round caliber QBs in this draft.

That's why teams feel comfortable taking another player and leaving the QB pick for later.

Vikings HAD to go defense. They couldn't stop anyone last year. I could see Dennard in that spot, but I've liked Barr a lot, too. Obviously, Khalil Mack was off the board by that point.

And he holds the ball too long.
    He doesn't read defenses well.
He doesn't throw the ball until a WR is open (vs anticipating the throw).

All that can come - he's inexperienced, just a redshirt soph - but he doesn't strike me as ready to play right away.

I haven't. But they share that characteristic -- they both take tons of hard hits -- and the probability of either of them making it through a given season uninjured is not as good as that of other prospects.

I don't think it was a definitive statement that I made in October. It was very speculative. The phrase "depending how this plays out" indicates that. "How it played out" was that Clowney shut his mouth, played football, did well, cemented his status as the best player in this draft and earned himself millions of dollars.
    Good for him.
Now let's get back to making fun of Johnny Manziel in the green room and ripping on the Browns and Jets for making stupid draft picks.

I've been on the Teddy Bridgewater bandwagon and I'm not getting off now. He's going to be good - significantly better than Bortles.

Bridgewater falling is a much bigger surprise than Manziel falling. He was the greatest thing since sliced bread last fall.

I do wonder if Manziel is on the board when Dallas picks, if GM Jerry Jones can resist.

Geez, enough of that. The Cowboys aren't taking Manziel.

Giants need O-line help desperately. Eli Manning nearly got killed last season.

That can't be real, can it? Is he that dumb? Not buying it.
