He looks so fast. The ND DT was on the board and so was Nix and a good corner.

I sort of wish they would have traded up to get the DT from Pitt.

I'm ok with the pick. I'd be dancing if they got GE Pitt kid.

A beast that requires things like competent cornerbacks, offensive linemen, linebackers, and wide receivers.

You're watching a different Rams team than the rest of us -- they would have won any other division in the NFC. They just had the misfortune of being stuck with what were probably the conference's three best teams.

    They aren't that far away.

Could see Manziel falling to Cleveland now. Which would be equivalent to a guy tripping over a pile of shit and finding a diamond on the ground.

Boy, Chip Kelly has to be taking a long, hard look at Johnny Football. I know he has Foles, but Manziel, that's his kind of guy.

You are acting like the Rams were 2-14, they are physical, physical team playing in the wrong division. You can never have to many d lineman, ask the Seahawks.

Grantland had a great story on Brandin Cooks earlier this week. Seems like a really special kid.

I thought that was too high for Nix (the Notre Dame nose tackle).

Much as I like Donald, who would have had to move to defensive end in the Steelers' 3-4 defense, there was no way they would have moved up to get him. Everything I had read was they were possibly going to trade down, but not up.

Aaron Donald is effective, but man, is he short.

Right. And if you made a list of things holding them back, DL play would be the LAST thing on that list. They would have won any other division (probably not, but there's nothing wrong with hyperbole to make a point) because their DL play was amazing.

They were 6-4 outside the NFC West. They would have been very strong anywhere else, even with their mess of a QB situation.

Again, though -- it is not possible to have too many defensive linemen. If you have seven good ones, you need eight.

Or maybe the Browns' draft people, who do this stuff for a living, had an idea that Johnny wasn't really a top 10 prospect at all and realized they could take someone else at the top and perhaps still get their shot later.

That's if they're really after Manziel at all. Maybe they take Bridgewater or Carr or someone else at another position entirely.
