I always thought of Kiper as a compiler. He does a better job listening to scouts and coaches than he does scouting on his own. He just dedicates a tremendous amount of time to it. I thought he was more useful 20 years ago, when there was a lot less information out there, than he is now.

Luis Nix is really falling. Very surprised to see the Steelers pass on him for a defensive end in the second round. They really missed having a true nose tackle last season. I could understand passing on one for a cornerback, but for a DE?

    It's because he's gay.

Weren't the Steelers supposed to be looking to do the league a favor by drafting a gay player? ::)

Jags pick up two WRs in the second round. At least there's reason to hope their passing game will be watchable, now.

They still have to have somebody get them the ball.

Oh, wait. They picked a QB at No. 3.

    Point stands.

Patriots take a QB in round 2. Interesting....

Their current quarterback is 36 years old and entering his 15th season. His contract is designed to blow up after another couple of years. His coach is getting long in the tooth as well. Mildly interesting but not surprising in the least.

The Broncos took a quarterback in the second round a month after they signed Manning.

true, not odd. Just interesting that we now seem to have the heir apparent to Brady.

Jarvis Landry might be the most LSU football name imaginable.

I wouldn't go that far. But it could mean there was something to the rumors about Mallett going to Houston, and maybe they pick up a pick for next year instead.
