Yep. I put all my stock in won-loss record. You got me. But anyone who implies that Kaepernick is a game manager like Sanchez knows jack shit about the NFL. They went with Kaepernick over Smith because he IS NOT a game manager. He had an up-and-down year, admittedly, and he struggled against good defenses, but he can still be a very good (probably not elite) quarterback.

Tim Tebow just felt a cold chill and doesn't know why.

Sounds like a few GMs were lazy.

Don't forget his twin brother, Guido Merkens, who went to Sam Houston State.

You were the one offering up team success as the only measure of a quarterback.

Also, nobody said Kaepernick was a game manager or said he was similar to Sanchez. Actually, we were using the differences between the two to demonstrate how weak your point truly is.

Yes, I was offering won-loss record as the ONLY measure of a quarterback. Get the fuck over yourself. I don't even give a shit about Kaepernick, but anyone who thinks SF should have drafted a QB so they can dump him are either idiots or trolls. Or both.

All I said was that taking the team to two conference championship games is not the best way to support your point. Then you turned it into an argument, a losing one on your side.

I didn't lose anything. You made assumptions and jumped on one minor point. It is a fact that Kaepernick has been to the NFC title game in both of his seasons. And it is also a fact that Sanchez went to two in a row. But I didn't say that makes him Joe Montana. It's still fairly impressive. And I don't recall a lot of people bashing Sanchez until he started to fall flat on his face. Kaepernick is light years more talented than Sanchez.
I just said that to say Kaepernick should be dumped to make way for a rookie unworthy of a top-10 pick would be ludicrous. Now, if Aaron Rodgers was available, maybe.

I pointed out that starting at quarterback for as the team makes two conference championships doesn't mean much. I mentioned Sanchez as an example. You have been arguing and whining ever since.

Well, you and some others acted as if it doesn't mean ANYTHING. And I don't like the condescending tone many around here take, or being told I'm whining. Some of the folks who argue that Kaepernick making the title game in both seasons as a starter means nothing are probably the same people who said Manning sucked until he won a Super Bowl. It doesn't make him a Hall of Famer, but it does mean something. It's the ultimate team game, but the QB is the leader of the team, so if a team goes deep into the playoffs consistently, he must be doing something right. Now, if he has another rough year next year I might rethink it.

    Eli Manning does suck, though.
