    What's funny is draft grades are not used to determine these players' contracts. They actually use a slotting system now. Which is unfair to a player like Clowney, but benefits the team.

    Ummm -- where to start ...

    You know a "draft grade" is for a team, right?

    So what sports journalistic enterprise goes back and evaluates and grades prior draft years?

    @McMurphyESPN Since 2009, Top 10 NFL picks by league: SEC 23; Big 12 16; ACC 9; Pac-12 8; MAC 2; AAC 1, BYU 1, B1G 0

    Some of those picks were huge busts, though. I think Rolando McClain was picked in that time period. The Raiders want that one back.

    Not surprising. Did you know that, before FSU won the BCS title this year, the SEC had a long run of consecutive BCS championships?

    Damn. That's quite an indictment of the B1G. You would think at least tOSU would have slipped someone in there.

    I confess they are fun to read.
    Totally useless, but I like to read them anyway.

    Useless. Check back in, say, 3-5 years and we can see how a draft played out.

    Apparently hoping to re-create the Jimmy Graham/Antonio Gates formula, the Colts sign UM basketball player Erik Swoopes despite never having played a day of football in his life.
