Jadeveon Clowney says he played with a sports hernia last year. That would explain a lot.

Why would he do that?

 

Probably because it was undiagnosed. Lots of guys who have sports hernias think they are groin pulls until they see a specialist.

But if he did have the injury at South Carolina, it doesn't make much sense that he'd wait until June to have surgery.

 

Sure it does. He has better doctors and he's guaranteed NFL money now.

 

If he did have it while at South Carolina, it makes that 40-time at the combine even more impressive.

 

Pretty amazing that, in this age of advanced medicine, a guy could have that sort of injury for a long time and not know it.
