No doubt. Also a hell of a play by Matthews.

Dumbass. His first failed comeback will be about a year from now, if it takes that long...

    The Jets released Cromartie.

The free agent market for defensive backs is very interesting, with guys like Cromartie, Champ Bailey, Aquib Talib, Devin Hester, etc. If you need help there (and most of the teams I follow do), it might not be a bad gamble. Guy might come a lot cheaper on a one-year deal than a rookie. If he can play, you got something. If not, it's not a huge loss financially.

I do wonder if Darelle Revis will get traded to the Broncos.

Do you really view Devin Hester as a DB?

I am worried about Cromartie being able to feed all his kids. At least they'll
have access to good health care

Vikings sign DE Everson Griffen to a five-year, $42.5 million deal. Good player, but it looks like they overpaid.

Very sad to see that Jared Allen is leaving Minnesota.

Boom, I see Hester's greatest value being on special teams. But, as for position, he's a defensive back.

Hester hasn't played DB in years. He has lined up at WR, albeit sparingly recently after the Bears failed in their attempt to make him a top flight WR.

Hester is a one-trick pony and the trick is waning.

Am I missing something? Why is he a dumbass for retiring?

Maybe it was a reference to Mendenhall's history of making himself look like a dumbass rather than just this particular decision.

I could see him being broke at 29 and trying for the big comeback.

Whispers have been that Mendenhall is a big pothead.
Why exactly does he need to play anymore?
    He sucks anyway.
