Aren't he Sharks supposed to choke in the second round?

Nah there have been a few first-rounders too.

This core is never winning it. Which is an especially vexing problem since Thornton and Marleau re-upped for three years and just about everyone else is set for the long term too.

Sharks lost that game when they didn't convert on the 5-on-3. At least then, when the iffy call goes against them in the third, the game is either tied or San Jose might still have had a lead (assuming it the power play goal would have given them a bigger desire to close things out and actually scored a few more times). Sharks are done. Their chance to close this out ended when they didn't do it in Game 5 at home.

The Sharks have been here before. In 2011 they went up 3-0 on Detroit, let the Wings tie the series up, then won Game 7 at home.

As a casual SJ fan, I hope you're right. This just feels different. The way they lost Game 6 has me thinking Game 7 won't be pretty. And having Game 7 against a bitter rival this time around I think makes this far different than the Red Wings series.

Nothing seems to come easy for San Jose at playoff time. Surely they won't choke this away, will they? 3-0 series lead, Game 7 on home ice. I can't even imagine what the fallout might be.

Never trust a French Canadian goalie - my Canadian neighbor about three weeks ago

I'm pretty sure the last goalie to raise the Cup was from Quebec.

After the Columbus series, I tend to agree with him. :)

Is Philadelphia the only place where they sing "God Bless America" instead of "The Star-Spangled Banner"?
