Going forward is a different story although I still think Crawfords an anchor.

You asked about last years olympic team and Crawford wasn't even really in the conversation.

I'd be shocked if Hiller is in Anaheim next year. I believe he's an unrestricted free agent. Just the look on his face sitting on the bench says "Whatever. just get this over with."

Habs beat Bruins 4-0 in a game that was part track meet andpart street fight.

Game 7 is on Wednesday in Boston and yes, this may be the greatest rivalry in all of sports.

It'll come down to a Rask vs Price contest.

Taking Boston at home in Game 7. Maybe David Krejci will finally score. He's due.

There needs to be some mechanism in place to penalize players who take penalties at the end of games already decided. There were a slew of penalties handed out in the final minute of the Montreal-Boston game. But the outcome was decided and everyone knew it. Those penalties never get served, so it's basically an invitation for someone to take a shot at anyone and everyone, knowing that barring something grotesque leading to a suspension, nothing will come of it.

I'd be in favor of penalties taken at the game being served to start the next game. You get two minutes for roughing, you serve it. You act like an ass and get a 10-minute misconduct, serve that, too. But the way it is now, these penalties mean nothing other than a mark on the scoresheet.

Same should go for baseball in leaving the dugout at anytime.

  7. The Pens are on their way to shitting the bed.
Blowing a 3-1 lead. Son of a bitch.

I suppose this is better than getting pummeled by the Bruins.

The story will focus on the Rangers rallying around Martin St. Louis, though Lundqvist probably deserves more of the credit.

At least that will drown out the other side of things, which is the Penguins pissing themselves and Crosby doing absolutely nothing to even slow down the collapse.

Lundqvist was great tonight and in Games 5 and 6, but he was also part of the reason the Rangers were in the hole to begin with. He let up some soft goals early in the series.

Kreider's return really helped the Rangers, though not so much in Game 4. Also, getting off the schneid with the power play goal to open Game 5 was huge. They were pressing so much, it seemed like when they finally broke through in Game 5, they got back to playing loose.

Lundqvist is a great big-game goalie. No one I'd rather have when needing to win one game.

But, woe unto thee Penguins. You're moving into San Jose territory as chronic underachievers. You can't pin this on Marc-Andre Fleury, although I suspect you will try. For a Hart Trophy winner, Sidney Crosby has not come through in the clutch the past few years.

  11. Yeah, they need to make some changes this off-season.
