They went to no-touch icing because too many guys were suffering serious injuries crashing into the end boards in races for the puck.

It's hybrid, part no-touch, part touch depending on where the puck and players are.

I'm a Blackhawks fan, and that hit by Seabrook on Backes was fucking disgusting. Backes' head was down, but Seabrook saw it and used it as a chance to drive his shoulder through his head. I'm so fucking sick of that in hockey. I'm glad St. Louis scored on the power play and I hope Seabrook is out for 20 games.

Only thing I'm hoping for out of this series is that when the retaliation comes, Toews doesn't die.

Agree, Rick ... as a fellow Blackhawks fan.

The Hawks have taken a ton of penalties in this chippy Game 2, and that one was really ugly.

Chicago had the game won, but decided it was more important to be a bunch of goons and try to knock people out. Lost a lot of respect for Quenneville arguing that call.

I thought Bickell sticking his knee out on Sobotka before that was pretty unnecessary, too.

    Hawks got what they deserved.

Bickell was flying around trying to hurt someone all afternoon. He drove Oshie headfirst into the boards on a dirty hit in the first period as well as going after Sobotka. Chicago has too much talent to play like the Charlestown Chiefs.

And seriously, fuck Brent Seabrook. What a goon.

The on ice microphones picked up one of the Hawks saying "Wakey wakey Backes, wakey wakey" as Backes was on the ice and struggling to get his wits about him after the hit.

Totally gutless and classless organization. And that reaction is a good indicator they targeted him, imo.

If Seabrook got a 3 game suspension, whoever did that taunting deserves that much, too.

Seabrook suspended three games. Backes uncertain for Game 3 on Monday.

Blackhawks weren't like this a few years ago. They've gotten dirtier by the year the last three years.

1-0 for Montreal fourteen seconds in the third game and first in Montreal.

If you've never seen a Canadien's pregame show, you missed seeing the greatest show in ANY sport.

As someone once said, the only institution that does pomp and ceremony better than the Habs is the British Monarchy

Detroit's Brendan Smith should thank the linesman for saving his life.

In a drunken stupour, Smith challenges Zdeno Chara to a fight.

Chara's reaction? He laughs at Smith

Apparently even Babcock was laughing on the bench. Or, at least smiling :)

Rookie ref just cost Lightning a goal. Now Tampa's captain may be out with a concussion.
