Oh indeed. The slashing call was a prime example of that.

Can't remember who took it but that was dumb! As was Subban's roughing call right in front of the official.

To a certain extent, you've described Team USA at the world championships in Minsk. The Americans have advanced to the quarters but will have to be much more disciplined to achieve further success.

Never been a Michel Therrien fan, but I give him credit for this year. That team has overachieved.

Best thing that has happened to the Rangers --- other than Lundqvist being a stud in goal --- was Boston getting eliminated.

Fighters make fights. Montreal was acknowledged here as the most difficult matchup for the Bruins.

Oh, I agree. I thought Boston was the better team. But Montreal gave them a tougher fight throughout the year than any other team from the east. My point is I would have expected Boston to beat the Rangers if the matchup had come out that way.

I don''t think the Rangers could've beaten the Bruins either. Glad Montreal put them out.

Galchenyuk. Got drafted third overall. Played in the OHL for Sarnia. He's quite the talented player.

Saw a lot of him in the O, major talent.

Montreal forward Brandon Prust suspended two games for a late hit on Derek Stepan in Game 3. Watching it live, I was shocked there was no penalty called on the ice.

NY's Daniel Carcillo suspended 10 games for making contact with an official after he was called for a penalty. Carcillo is a thug, IMO and making physical contact with an official is a big no-no in any sport, but that still struck me as a little harsh.

Interesting stat: Chicago has lost its first road game (either Game 1 or Game 3) in its last nine playoff series. Last time the Blackhawks won their first road game of a series was the 2010 Western Conference Finals, when they swept San Jose.

Make it 10 straight series in which Chicago has lost its first road game.

    I'm impressed with the Kings.

For a team that supposedly doesn't score much, Carter and company have turned the Blackhawks' D into a sieve.
