No sweat, just a pet peeve of mine so I tend to tweak when I see/hear that phrase.

Patrick Kane has come back to life in the nic of time. Three assists on three Chicago goals in the first period as Chicago leads LA 3-2.

That overtime period is why NHL playoffs are far FAR superior to the NBA playoffs. Nearly eight minutes without a whistle. Up-and-down action. What did that take, like 25 minutes?

Yeah, great OT period. Game 6 ought to be a war as well. I'd be shocked if the Blackhawks go down without a fight.

Hawks win in the 2nd OT to take it to LA for game 6 on Friday night. First period of OT may have been the greatest period of all this year's playoffs. Astonishing

Sadly, if LA wins in Game 6 Canada won't hear CBC's Bob Cole call another game because game 6 is a TSN broadcast in Canada.

If you've never heard him, you haven't heard the greatest hockey PBP ever. He didn't call a game, he told a story. I hate doing non hockey comparables but he is the Vin Scully of hockey. And as much as I like Doc Emrick, he's not even close

Yeah, I love Cole, too. (As well as Jim Hughson). It seems like he's maybe not as sharp now as he was some years ago (understandable). NBCSN tipped the hat to TSN during the Game 4 broadcast and said it was their last broadcast of the season, so I figured the other games were on CBC.

I guess Hughson is doing the Montreal-New York series.

The Kings' Hall of Fame announcer Bob Miller also was ousted from the booth after the first round. It's a shame.

Does Miller not do radio for them in these rounds? It would seem right to work him in somewhere.

No. Miller has been there 40+ years, but the radio guy, Nick Nickson, has been there 30+ years and Miller is too nice of a guy to bump him from the radio broadcasts. I don't usually watch them, but I think Miller and analyst Jim Fox are doing a postgame show for Fox Sports West after each game.
