Maybe not, but it's really tough to say for sure. Montreal plays a different game with Price in net because they know they can afford to open it up with him back there. That's been Montreal's strength all year and they weren't able to play that way this series.

That would be me. In all fairness, I picked them more for sentimental reason than because I really and truly thought they'd win the Cup. My daughter-in-law is a huge Rangers fan, and we've all kind of adopted them. However, I did say that the field was so wide open that any team that got hot could win it, especially if they had a top-line goalie, and the Rangers have been one of those teams. Still have to beat whoever comes out of the West, though, so there is that, and Rangers will probably be the underdogs regardless of whether it's the Kings or Blackhawks.

That is one of the things I love about the NHL playoffs. Most unpredictable of any of the major pro sports leagues. Once you get in, you have a chance. Of course, it helps to have a stud goalie playing at the top of his game.

I thought that was clear enough, guess I need to explain things further with some :)

If NLCS doesn't count -- and it doesn't -- then yes.

    Check that:

    Liberty-Sparks in 2002. ;D

Another classic game. I know I sound like a broken record, but...... Patrick Kane is DA MAN!!! Best clutch goal scorer in the NHL. Time and time again. Wow!

Patrick Kane gives absolutely zero fucks right now.

(it also helps if you don't pay attention to how many times he's been floating in the defensive zone when LA scores, not that it isn't what they want him to do).

was actually thinking that, but thought the liberty lost to houston. guess could be a little bit longer for an NY-LA, although wouldn't be surprised if the Kings win Game 7.

Last time Chicago vs. NY in a championship was Bears-Giants in 1963. Papa Bear" George Halas was still the head coach:

What is the most Game 7s in a single playoff season? Sunday is going to be the seventh one this year, and I'm guessing that would have to be pretty high on the list. I'm sure Double J would know.

LA won Game 7 on the road in each of the first two rounds, but this is asking an awful lot. Road teams are 5-1 thus far.
