As would anybody with access to Google. The answer is 7, in 1994 and 2011, and apparently in 2014 also.

It went from 5 to 7 games in the first round in late 80s, so there was less of a chance of that many game 7s before 90s.

Scott Niedermayer is the only defenceman in the past 10 years to win the Conn Smythe Trophy. Don't know if it will happen this year, but man, both Ryan McDonagh and Drew Doughty are having excellent playoff runs.

NBC has to be loving this: New York against either Chicago or Los Angeles in the Final.

True. Although so far for the Rangers, Lundqvist has been their MVP.

Holy crap. Blackhawks jump out to 2-0 lead, give both goals up in about two minutes and then score an incredibly soft goal 12 seconds later.

Fun game to watch. 3-2 Chicago after one period.

    The over-under was 5.

Geez, this game might end up 7-6 or 8-7.

By the way, every Los Angeles goal has come off a fortuitous bounce of either a rebound or deflection.

Would love to see 5-5, then 4 overtimes.

And there's a fourth LA goal thanks to a bounce right to a guy on the doorstep.
