Didn't see that ending coming at all. Nice to be surprised. Great PG-era Cell match.

Agreed. The only proble I have, though, is that it seems Ambrose and Rollins still has some steam left. I guess they can separate them for a while and then rekindle it on and off for the next 12 years.

I'm cool with it switching gears now. We've had the Ambrose/Rollins story since June or so. Time to change it up. They can revisit this later. Seeds have been planted for a few weeks for Orton/Rollins. Maybe the RKO Vines have turned Randy face just a little. Plus, I'm sure we'll get some kind of "you didn't get the job done against Cena" schtick from Paul and Stephanie on Monday.

Ambrose vs. Wyatt should be good for the promos alone. Dean always had the best lines during the brief but fantastic Shield/Wyatts program earlier this year. That hologram thing was siiiick. Creepy stuff. I dig it.

Strong start to the card and great finish, but the middle had me literally yawning. When's the last time a 2-out-of-3 falls match was a sweep? Not complaining. I think it's great to have such a strong showing for Ziggler. After all, he's the de facto top champion. Sometimes, I forget there even is a world champion. And the shaved head look isn't working for Cesaro. Maybe it's just because it was a fresh job and he had so many razor burns on his dome. Yikes.

I enjoyed Paige/AJ again, but there were too many stretches of silence from the commentary crew. Not complaining because I can't stand those three, but there has to be some kind of audible storytelling. I think we've kind of lost the story of Paige and AJ. Time to move on.

The Mizdow stuff is the only redeeming thing to Miz/Sheamus. God, they bore me so.

Gold/Stardust and Usos have run their course. Just bring the Ascension up and let's have a really weird tag team title feud.

Rusev/Show went about as I expected. Ruseve will go undefeated for a while longer. The only thing left to do is feed Sheamus to him and let him take the US title. It might actually put some life back into the belt. Even late-run WCW got decent heat when foreign workers held the US belt and disgraced it or renamed it, etc., like the Canadian championship program Lance Storm worked. If only people would have allowed him to be serious for a minute ...

Brie/Niki was halfway decent. Not surprised at the outcome. What kind of story would you have if the heel doesn't make the face's life miserable? Oh, and Brie totally left her phone under the luggage in the trunk of Niki's car. A smoothie does sound good right about now, but I have some Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice egg nog in the fridge.

It was a different era, but one that cones to mind for me was when David Von Erich had Jimmy Garvin and Sunshine be his slaves for the day. He had them doing farm work, cleaning stalls and giving dogs their baths. For its time, it was a funny vignette and worked because the characters had personalities. Nikki doesn't really have a character that would fit a segment like that. Summer Rae might work in a role like that as a heel getting treated badly as a face.

Man, I love Bray Wyatt but that was SOOOO disappointing. First off, it ruined a fantastic match. Second, and more importantly, I really thought we might have a new debut from NXT there. I was kind of hoping for Steen as that would have been incredible and a shock given he hasn't debuted in NXT yet, or maybe Wyatt with the Ascension.
Either way, it left me wanting more.
Kind of a meh show all around but Ambrose/Rollins was great and AJ/Paige are actually getting some strong chemistry together. Too bad they have no compelling story to their feud.

    That holograph thing was stupid.

Bringing out my inner JR, at least working with Ambrose will give Bray a chance to get some real heat since it looks like they're intent on keeping him heel. And if they go straight to Orton/Rollins for the next PPV that should be good too.

I was wondering what they were going to do with Wyatt next, since he's been on the back burner since feuding with Jericho outside of some vignettes "releasing" his followers. I thought that was going to be the prelude for him just turning face, but this works better in my mind. Wyatt-Ambrose is more appealing to me than Ambrose-Rollings for month five, or Ambrose-Orton or Cena. Or Kane being involved in any of this.

Ziggler is doing his very best to reestablish himself as a main event caliber guy. I kind of hope they just keep him booked as a strong face / tweener IC champion until he eventually challenges for the big belt at some point. Let him go on a win streak and get a groundswell of support.

The rest of the show was kind of meh to me, but there were some good moments. The Usos are a good team, but I've kind of seen enough of them with the Dust Brothers, even though they've had good matches. However, since there isn't much of a division now, I'm not sure what they do with the Usos or the Dusts. One of them could feud with Harper and Rowan, but otherwise, no clue.

Some really good wrestling last night with the main event, Ziggler-Kane, which told a good underdog story (if being the IC champ makes you the underdog) and the Usos/Miz(Dow) matchup. The storylines, though, were meh, with the same old Cena "I'll never turn bad" crap.

How many true tag teams are left?

The Usos, Goldie/Stardust, Miz/Mizdow, Los Matadores.

That's all I could think of off the top of my head. Is that all?
