    How about Barry Horowitz?
And yes, you can give yourself a pat on the back if you can come up with an answer.

Either '92 or '93, when he won a Global Wrestling Federation lightweight (I think) title, or '95 when he beat Candido.

Yes, there was a wrestling company with televised shows on ESPN that gave a push to Barry Horowitz.

Next up we have Bret "The Hitman" Hart:

From an in ring perspective, you can't argue with 1994. Dude carried the company and created several MOTYC's including the WWE MOTY.

From a character perspective, it's 1997, since he was finally becoming a fairly decent talker and his gimmick freshened him up a good deal.

1987 was certainly a good year for Bret though. Hart Foundation were very consistent, putting on either the best match on any card they were on or one of the best. His SNME match against Randy Savage was fantastic and one of Bret's earliest previews of what he'd be capable of doing as a singles star.

Better gesture: Barry Horowitz's self-congratulatory pat, or DDP's self-high five?

    Discuss.

Global was fun in the early days, when Eddie Gilbert stayed just clean enough to book a hell of a product, where JBL, Cactus Jack, Raven, Buff Bagwell, Syxx and Harlem Heat got their first taste of national TV. Then it got taken over by the Von Erich/old WCCW crew and was never quite the same. I thought Steve Austin feuded with Chris Adams then, but it was in WCCW a year or so before.

It was a pretty good show for a while. Then, as you said, it started going downhill, to the point where they had a bungee cord match (loser gets thrown off a crane).

Yes, it was as bad as it sounds.

Horowitz. You can nail that one from anywhere. I do it a lot of times on Friday night after writing a couple of gamers and cranking out a section in 2 1/2 hours, then I'll try to explain the move and spread the gospel of Barry Horowitz.
That Horowitz was a jobber with his own move is great, too. I doubt I'd even remember him if it weren't for that.
Try to do the self high five, and you look sort of spastic. And people sort of remember DDP as a decent wrestler, not the move.

If the Network is free this month, does that mean they're not going to bill me? Or is it just free for new subscribers and to hell with the paying customers?

And now they're pimping Sheamus vs. Rusev as a Network-exclusive post-Raw match. They're pulling out all the stops.

We got Ziggler vs.Rollins for the IC belt. I doubt there will be a conclusive finish, but this should be good.

And Rusev is your new U.S. champion via submission/passout.
Figured that was going to happen. The real drama was whether we'd get a Lana nip slip before the end of the match. Every time they cut to her, it looked like her undershirt was dipping a bit lower.
