Crazily enough, listening to Cole go off on that huge rant at the end there, I think they kinda do. I think they're going to have Bryan go absolutely nuts on the Authority tomorrow because he's getting fed up.

One nutty storyline thought: Have the Authority tomorrow tell Bryan that he faces Kane next week, with if Bryan wins, then he gets Trips at WM.. Bryan agrees, with one caveat: the winner gets inserted in the main event later that night. Trips and Kane beat Bryan up, then they agree, because there's no way a beaten-up Bryan will beat Kane next week.

Orton starts bitching because he doesn't want to face Bryan (EDIT: and Batista) at WM. Trips tells him not to worry, that Kane will beat Bryan, and even if he doesn't, Trips'll beat Bryan, then just bow out, and even if Bryan wins, he'll be too beat up to do much. That satisfies Orton. So Trips and Orton try to help Kane, only Batista comes down and helps Bryan win.

This then sets up Bryan beating Trips, and then in the underdog role, winning the three-way, with the crowd going nuts.

I honestly have ZERO problem with Orton in the Main Event. He's earned it and he's a great heel. But putting Batista in there against him is just a terrible, terrible idea.

I just put this on FB...
This has to be a set-up for the biggest YES chant ever. The only way they save a Mania with Orton and Batista in the main event is if Bryan goes up against HHH and gets in the main event with a win. He wins that, he then wins the triple threat. That's the only way Mania doesn't end with a giant booing from the crowd and, perhaps, an ECW style trashing.

I'm the same way. Orton is fine, it's Batista that bothers me. But how to undue the Rumble victory to keep him out of the match entirely? I don't think there's a way. But, he can be minimized as part of a triple threat match. Really, SummerSlam should have been the start of a six-month feud of Orton/Bryan with WM30 as the big payoff. Instead, we had Batista forced down our throats because there's a movie to promote.

Having Orton/Bryan/Batista is making the best of a botched story line, absolutely not ideal. Batista is a third wheel.

I'll say this much though. If this has all been one long, slow burn (from Summerslam to here) to get Bryan over and end WM with him triumphant, this would be up there with the best the WWE has done in terms of writing ever. The crowd is RED HOT for Daniel Bryan to finally get his moment. I mean, RED HOT.

This would have worked even better though if 1) the chamber "glass" hadn't broken so much in past years and 2) the plexiglass hadn't broken earlier in the match off of another pod.

That being said, I thought the 6-man tag was awesome, as did everyone else, it seems. And the Chamber match was about as good as you could do, given how there was probably no way anyone but Orton would win. Even with that, I thought they did a good job on the false finishes, with having Bryan kick out of that first RKO.

That's what all the internet fans (myself included) want, but I think we're going to get:

Batista wins the title at WM, but they deflect the smark boos with the same formula they've been using (Bryan early, something else beside the title closes the show).

Bryan beats an Authority guy at WM (probably HHH, but maybe Kane).

Bryan wins the title at Summerslam.

Got the WWE Network up and running now with the WrestleMania Rewind on the WM1 main event. It looks like it runs best on anything but a computer...looks great on my Roku, and everything comes up on my phone. My iMac? Not so much. I'll be all over the PPV vault once I get done with the new episodes they're airing live.

    Are you 12?

  10. I'm not going to lie, I'm disappointed that I know we're getting Cena-Wyatt at WM when I'd really rather just see Shield vs. Wyatts again but with some sort of stipulation. Maybe a ladder match? Or HIAC? I don't know. I just want to see it again and I feel like it's going to die off.

Any thoughts on what The Shield gets at 'Mania? THere's no breakup though there's still time for that if they want to and no clear rival for them if Bray is handling Cena duties. Surely they can't leave Shield out of the Mania festivities, right? Right?

They planted the seeds of the breakup last night.

    Stipulation: Loser must disband.

Then the Shield lose, and they blame Reigns, triggering their feud.
