Unless that's what they WANT us to think ...

I was editing my post as you were replying.

Taker apparently did pick Lesnar to win and end the Streak, but it still doesn't make any sense to me -- especially when several dirt sheets were reporting Taker wasn't going to have as much creative control over the match as he has in years past.

You have got to be the biggest mark in the world to think that they switched that finish mid match. The fact that so many adults are arguing, in 2014, that a professional wrestling match was not predetermined is one of the greatest feats in the history of the art form.

I think the reason why some speculate that there was something against the script is because it seemed like the finish came out of nowhere, especially with all the kickouts of finishers. It seemed like they were building towards the finish, and then it just happened like that. I kept expecting Heyman to intefere, for one thing.

Couple that with waiting a minute before announcing Lesnar won, and the delay in playing his music, and it seemed a little odd. That being said, I think they planned it that way so everyone could hear the crowd reaction, which was insane.

I would have liked to have seen something more definitive, like Lesnar hitting 2 F-5s in a row, having Taker kick out, and then one more to finish him for good. Or where he puts the Kimura lock on, "breaks" his arm, then Taker refuses to submit and "passes out from the pain".

When weirdness happens, the default speculation is always "that's not what they meant to have happen." And that's what it ends up being about 1 time out of 10.

All the scuttlebutt proves that it was the perfect way to do it. It got people talking.

I dare say this was the best booked WrestleMania in quite a few years. I spent years shelling out $60 and walking away feeling meh. Now I put down $10 and The E puts on a classic. Figures.

If you look on AP Images, there are a bunch of great shots from last night, including a shot of Daniel Bryan as he's lifted up for the Batista Bomb/RKO.

I love this Daniel Bryan promo so much, both last night and tonight. That song is absolutely going on the workout playlist.

    Yep, Heyman was epic.

"He's not here to put smiles on faces. Brock Lesnar is here to make little children cry."

"He doesn't like anybody. He barely even tolerates me."

My little sister who hates wrestling is in town, and she happened to be walking by and that line made her stop and smile.

After seeing all the weirdness of the Warrior, nice to see that he has a sense of humor.

A.J. Just called herself the best Diva in the world. That got a familiar chant.
