I have read there are a lot of health concerns with all this heading.
Maybe they can outlaw heading and allow one legal handball, per team and per game, as a concession.

The problem with soccer concussions isn't necessarily through hitting the ball with your head, it's when you bump noggins with someone going after a 50-50 ball.

Four more years before most of the US gets to hear an announcer yell "Schweinsteiger" again.

    Brianna Scurry would agree.

Maybe it's time to look into helmets. I know a lot of football 7 on 7 tournaments now require
teams to wear helmets for just that reason.

Who marked the occasion by coming out of the closet with his teammate Podolski

This may have been discussed, but the Aguero-Lavezzi sub was a gigantic mistake. Lavezzi was one of the best players on the field, and he ran his ass off. Aguero was clearly nowhere close to full fitness.

The move totally changed Argentina's attack. They were much more dynamic with Lavezzi playing the Di Maria role and making runs from the midfield. Aguero, Messi and Higuain were isolated and static after Lavezzi went off. Terrible decision by Sabella.

I made a real, honest effort in 2010 to learn the game. But it just didn't take. I understand some others feel that way about hockey and football. I listen to the TV commentators and just go "uh, yeah, OK". Maybe if I had the advantage of sitting with a knowledgeable person who could explain strategy and such.

I learned something yesterday. If you're in a hurry to eat and get somewhere on time, then an Irish Pub as the World Cup Finals start is the *wrong* place to pick. I think that the cooks in the kitchen were glued to the TV, and a big wave of people hit the place just as we did.

I didn't even think about it. Bad luck, poor timing is all.

I really made an honest effort to learn more about WAGs this time around. The
NY Post was very helpful by posting a "Wag of The Day" for each day of the World
    Cup.

I can say without a doubt that the MVP Wag of the Cup is Irina Shayk. Reynaldo's
    GF.

Pardon me if this has been discussed, but what will viewership in the US be like in four years from Russia? The time zone difference will make airing games live a poor proposition for casual fans here. Can it sustain or reestablish the momentum it started in Brazil?
