    That and also the way some place an importance on the artistry and how well the team looked/played. Would like to hear more 'they looked good but the bottom line is that's an L.'

    Americans are also not good at probability and overestimate the chances of teams coming back from, say, 14 points down in football

    Very few people who would be affected by something like that are consuming enough soccer coverage to have it register.

    I think we should all be rooting for England to win today and advance. Because otherwise they can't lose via PKs.

    Chickenshit officiating. I loathe England and celebrated Suarez's magnificent goal, but Uruguay should be playing with 10 men.
