I don't deal well with self-importance from people who aren't important.
    Deal even worse with whining.
    I will leave the thread.
Enjoy the Cup- if Stink says it's OK that you can.

There's trolling everywhere around here, sadly, not just soccer. And it's the usual suspects. You see who the poster is and you start rolling your eyes immediately. You know, being anonymous and flexing Internet muscles and all.

Ink is like Gladys Kravitz of Bewitched fame. Always peaking out from
behind the curtains looking for that troll

I will never understand the attention whoring mindset that causes that.

It's privileged class angst over finding out that a sport can become insanely popular without them.

Eh, I suspect in any tournament, people have the teams they root for. I know quite a few people who tune out the NCAA basketball tournament/NBA or NHL playoffs once their team is eliminated.

Sport can be enjoyable to watch just for the admiration of the performance. But it's a hell of a lot more fun when one has a rooting interest.

Lots of genetic degradation from the original Walter Lippmann to this waste of keystrokes who spends his day trolling a soccer thread with super hot soccer takes straight from the 1994 Compuserve message boards.

    USMNT is still left.

Agree partially. Materazzi also deserved an academy award. He sold it like Ric Flair used to after taking a half-assed elbow to the head. Chielini should have reacted the way Materazzi did.

    FIFA has started an investigation.

I'm amused at the photos right after the play where Suarez is holding his teeth.

Do you remember the who's tougher, soccer or football players thread?

I thought maybe he got a couple of them knocked out. Would've been hard to mount a defense if he had, wouldn't it?
