The gap is getting closer and closer. Portugal is a good team and the US tied them, gagging up the game late. Germany may be the best team in the world and the US put up a credible result. Germany is on another level than the US, but there are only 3 or 4 teams close to Germany.

 

No. Belgium is 11th, US 13th.

 

Rankings don't mean much. Belgium has a good young team but hasn't been very impressive in the World Cup so far. It's a winnable game.

 

Here's another ugly American thought: the best shots post-game are the women in bikini tops jumping around.

 

Ghana is a good example. By far the lowest ranked team in the group and gave everyone a run and then some.
