Ishikaw's attempt to make me take everything I wrote yesterday back is bailed out because Cain didn't pick up third base coach waving him home.

I still take it all back, but I'm not kicking anything while doing it.

I've seen this stat several places today, but not here: The last visiting team to win Game 7 of the World Series was the 1979 Pittsburgh Pirates.

Visiting teams are 3-12 in World Series Game 6 since 1982. The only winners were the 1992 Blue Jays, 1997 Indians and 2003 Marlins.

He also looked back twice at the ball, if not for that he may have scored.

Lowering his career postseason ERA to 5.46 = Dominant.

    Petit isn't clutch tonight.

Hence the phrasing "pitched pretty well in Game 5."

Anyway, there's another pitcher losing his aura of invincibility tonight.

All this game is lacking to be like Game 7 in 1985 is Jake Peavy punching an electric fan, but maybe there's still time for that.

over under was 7. Royals may have it before 3 innings.

Sooner or later the lack of depth in the starting staff of the Giants had to show up as a liability.
Boy oh boy could they use Matt Cain right now.

Vogelsong hasn't been up to the task this postseason. Which means (assuming this goes 7, which looks pretty safe right now) the season could come down to Tim Lincecum getting big outs in the 4th-7th innings tomorrow night.

    1968, 1982 ... and 2014?

The first two were 13-1 scores for the home team that entered trailing, 3-2. Both (Tigers in '68 and Cards in '82) then won Game 7.

Lincecum warming up, so we may see him sooner than that.
