I thought he was clutch. Weird.

Arizona came back home trailing 3-2 in 2001, and then won 15-2 in Game 6. We all know what happened in Game 7.

That's the one thing i can't see happening (so it probably will). SF beating KC's bullpen in Game 7.

edit: can see them beating some of KC's relievers, but not Davis and Holland.

Davis' lefty-righty splits are pretty drastic, so if Herrera tires and Davis has to go more than one inning, that might be exploitable if it's a one-run game and Belt or Sandoval comes up in the right spot.

And of course, it depends on how many innings KC gets out of Ventura tonight.

would think if ventura goes only 6 they'd be ok, unless sf gets a few runs and makes it close. How is it that Duffy has been forgotten. I know he was hurt and missed a few starts in late Aug or Sept, but he was very good this season.

I don't think Duffy's been forgotten, but Yost seems committed to Herrera-Davis-Holland in 7-8-9. And it's hard to argue with the results, though Herrera in particular has got to be on fumes at this point.

Thus, the only way Duffy, Frasor, et al get in the game is if the starter gets knocked out early or there's a matchup play in the 6th.

KC hits the over in the 3rd inning. At least was 7 when checked online Monday.

Would think Duffy could've gotten a start, but guess Guthrie and Vargas more experienced.

This is about to be the fifth game of the series decided by 5+ runs. Kinda weird for such a tight matchup.

Ah, yes. I remember that one, too. It just stuck with me to have identical scores in '68 and '82. The '68 series is the first Series I remember watching. I was 8 and remember running home from school to catch the end of the games. And the '82 Series is the only one I've ever covered, so obviously that one sticks with me.

You know what's clutch? My beer. Clutch as fuck right now to dull this POS game.
