Exactly. Bumgarner was absolutely amazing in three World Series performances. That does not make him the best pitcher in baseball. Anybody who continues to argue that point is just stubbornly demonstrating how little they understand the game.

Who is gonna start the "Madison Bumgarner: Hall of Famer?" thread?

They won because they don't make clownshoes plays in the outfield when it counts, like all those dumb saberteams.

Man, is there any worse way to make the last out than a lazy foul pop-up? Just hanging there forever, and not a damn thing you can do about it.
Getting the miracle botch on the Gordon hit and getting a spark of life only makes it worse.

How long has Buster Posey been a 14-year-old teen getting interviewed about his call-up to varsity?

Bumgarner will deservedly go down as one of the great heroes of World Series history. That's way cool. Mickey Lolich is a peer in that regard. He won Game Seven in 1968 against Bob Gibson, his third win in that Series. He is not generally regarded as having been a better pitcher than Gibson. Guy's a hero. Isn't that enough?

When that happened I had already started the Internet search to hunt you down and kill you. Haha. Sort of.

Meh. Dodgers still have the parking lot brawl heavyweight championship of the world.

We get it, Rick. The Giants made an error in the bottom of the ninth. The horse is dead already.

Dang, and I'm always on your side in the NFL thread when people whine at you for posting too much about the Steelers.
