    Maybe for mortals.

    Pablo Sandoval regular season .294/.346/.465
    Pablo Sandoval postseason .344/.389/.545

What's funny is after he got shellacked in a postseason start a couple years ago, it triggered a spate of, "Why can't Madison Bumgarner pitch in the postseason?" stories.

Is the consensus really that this guy is just apparently a better person than the rest of 'em?

There's a whole lot of old sportswriters out there trying to forget their "Michael Jordan will never be a winner" stories.

    On Gordon trying for home-
Not to get too deeply into the math, but by Fart's logic, if Perez has a 20 percent chance of getting a hit, then all Gordon needs is a 1 in 4 shot at scoring and the Royals are better off.
Plus losing on a Nedtastic play that would be remembered forever is better than losing on a foul popup.

He didn't have a 1 in 4 shot of scoring on that play. He had about a 1 in 50 shot.

And then they took him out of the rotation, thinking he was your basic tired overtaxed 23-year-old who was already past his career high in innings, but he threw some bullpen sessions and they corrected a mechanical flaw and he was aces in the WS.

He's a network guy. Cable? Pffft.

Fart would have liked to see it.
So would have a lot of baseball fans.
Especially given Posey's poor defensive skills.

Another thing is that Butler was going in slow motion by the time he pulled into third.

I just can't imagine any way he wasn't out by 60 feet. The ball was already in the shortstop's glove by the time he took one step past third base.

    It was Gordon.

But he would have been dead.

The only chance he had was that Buster Posey would violate the Buster Posey Rule and not giving him a lane to slide.
