No kidding. When an 11-point margin is the "close game," that's a weird way to get to 3-3.

This is a really good point. I've abandoned five of the six games because the ending had no climax at all. Only game worth staying through the end was Game 4.

There's a lot of revisionist history going on at ESPN right now. "As he so often does--with his team staring down elimination--James put a franchise on his broad shoulders and delivered another performance for the ages." Um what?

He has done that a lot.

He played balls-out in Game 6 against the Spurs to send it to Game 7. (ETA: then played great in Game 7 too.)

After the Quit Game, he had a triple double against the Celtics (they lost but it was one of his best games ever).

He scored his team's final 25 points to knock out the Pistons one year (not technically Cavs facing elimination, it was Game 6, but same idea).

I know there have been others. And now these two games.

He has had his flubs for sure, but he has delivered in that situation quite a bit too.

    What's revisionist about it?

Look man, you've made me notice that there's a lot of GSW fan whinning going on after I was happily ignorant of all of it. Now you're going to ruin my LeBron/ESPN hating too? Damn you and your facts!

I still think they're OK for Game 7.

One thing that seems to happen -- and gets talked about a lot -- is that the Warriors' role players do a lot better at home.

As long as Barnes doesn't plod on with the worst salary drive known to humankind, it should be enough.

That's inaccurate. The seven game thing wouldn't have mattered since Jordan's best non-500 point run was 363. Jordan had eight 500-point postseasons. James has had six and came within 10 points of two more. James has him on 400-point playoff runs, though neither number has any particular meaning.

This series is going all cliche, make-or-miss league. In game 5, there was one of the the highest gaps in whatever the shot quality metric comes from SportsVU (sp?) in any playoffs. And the Cavs were on the wrong end. Golden State keeps missing open shots. If they do it so badly three games in a row, they'll utterly deserve to lose. (Also James is just unreal)

Recall early in Jordan's career that first-round series were best of five. So, less opportunities perhaps for Jordan. But changing the narrative on the fly is never easy.

Thank god we got Jordan back in the conversation. It had been too long.

That's my view. I liked the shots that the Ws were getting and the ones the Cavs were making in GM. 5; I think the Ws can turn that around in Gm 7; hey if not, I've lived through Gm. 7 in 2002 WS, congrats to Cavs if they continue to make those kinds of shots and win.
