I remember when a backcourt foul was 2 shots. I liked the 3 to make 2. It's what I grew up with.

 

Speaking of which, I had a million dollar idea back when ... for Chick 'n' Stu's (Stu Lantz) "Chick 'n' Stu" to sell at the Forum.

Never got around to finding someone who might buy into the idea.

 

If we're going to talk changing rules, someone explain to me why the NFL ever legalized holding by linemen? Its the stupidest rule of them all because guys blocked for what 50 years without needing to hold and it violates the very name of the rule, holding. This only leads to ridiculous discretion in refs who can call holding anytime but are supposed to judge "when its between the shoulder pads" and when the blocker is supposed to "disengage" when the defensive player turns.

 

Keeping quarterbacks alive is good for business.

 

So in the big rematch of the Warriors and Blazers, Golden State puts an 81 spot on the board in the first half. Two shy of the season high by any team in a half of basketball.

 

I wonder if they knew they lost to them earlier in the season!

 

Hard to say. This whole season they haven't played like they're trying to prove people wrong ...
