Misses a layup in Houston: He's tired!

Makes 50 percent of three-pointers in Utah: So what!

Here is some advice: Don't ever discuss statistics. You have continually shown you have know understanding of even the basic concepts. "Law of averages" doesn't mean what you think it means.

OK then, reversion to the mean. Sorry for using a generally understood figure of speech.

Law of averages doesn't apply to events like this but I see your point.

He must be emotionally drained as well as physically. It cannot be easy to perform at what appears to be maximum effort 6 nights a week for 6 months, knowing that you still have 12 weeks to go.

He has sat out the entire fourth quarter probably 15 times because they were so far ahead (or behind, in a few cases). In all there have been 17 games that he played less than 30 minutes, including the three he didn't play at all. Add it all up and he is 21st in the league in minutes played.

Also of note on this topic, once the playoffs start, fatigue doesn't matter a whole lot. Last year, from the end of the regular season through the first two rounds of the playoffs, the Warriors played 10 games in 30 days. The entire postseason was 21 games in 62 days. No back-to-backs.

They never play six nights a week. In fact, it's rare that they play more than four nights in a week. It's always notable when a team completes a five-games-in-seven-nights span, which happens about three times a season. And every night the Warriors play, they're playing a team that has played just as many games.

I know, it's a bit of hyperbole. What I mean is that he doesn't take a night off when he plays. That ball has got to be heavier now than it was in January.

Is there really a substantive difference between averaging 34 minutes a game and 36 minutes a game?

Cool Steph Curry stat: he's 64th in the league in 2 point fga (9) per game, between Whiteside and Ibaka. And yet still 2nd in the league in overall fga.

The infidelity isn't shocking, but Russell committed the cardinal sin of ratting out a teammate for stepping out. Russell might be ruined after this, it will be interesting to watch. Taping a buddy and then leaking it is a weird prank that only makes sense to the mind of like a grammar school kid. I remember in 8th grade a guy got hold of a letter some girl had written to another girl in which she talked about who had crushes on who in their entire class, and this kid went to the library and printed like 50 copies of the letter and basically gave it out to the entire class. He thought it was funny, but pretty much everyone else was mortified and pissed. The kid survived. I was that kid.

A player would be in far less trouble in the locker room for fucking a teammate's wife than Russell is in for what he did.

Yep, I said the exact same thing today. He'd have been better off banging Kobe's wife.
