Dubs blow 17-point lead, fall to Minnesota in OT. Second home loss of season. Regular season ends with two vs. Spurs and two with Grizzlies.

They'll go 3-1. This wasn't a game they could lose and get the record.

Also, a first-round series with Utah would be really tricky for the Dubs. The Jazz have played Golden State tough all year. Not predicting an upset or anything, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit if a Utah-GS series went six.

The tough part of the loss is now each game will be against a team that can deny them the record - though it probably helps that they are all against playoff teams that might want to rest their starters.

"A competitive league like the NBA necessitates a zig while our competitors comfortably zag. We often chose not to defend ourselves against much of the criticism, largely in an effort to stay true to the ideal of having the longest view in the room."

Now that takes some stones. All those zaggers think they're so special with their winning and their playoffs!

I've said this before: He was great at building a team as long as no one asked what he was building toward.

I was looking forward to seeing them field a team entirely of injury-prone or undersized centers, though.

7 of the last 10 participants in the championship series were LeBron James( and friends) and San Antonio. Forgive him if he realizes that fighting for 6th place is not a worthy goal

Exactly what the NBA wanted when Colangelo was appointed overseer. The kid was forced out by Sarver. D'Antoni moves in as head coach, run-and-gun is back and a great franchise is saved.

Yikes - Zach Lowe had him on his podcast yesterday for an hour and he didn't really tip that this was going to happen. Lowe also had George Karl a day before he almost got fired. (Well, that time it REALLY seemed like it was going to happen.)
