I certainly don't agree with his ballot and I'd love to hear an explanation for Mattingly or Martinez over Bagwell or even Biggio, but it isn't automatically wrong just because he included a player with no shot of getting in.

That's not a terrible ballot. You can make a reasonable case for Mattingly over Biggio if you're a peak dominance over steady almost-greatness, Not sure how you explain Mattingly (or even Edgar) over Bagwell; especially if you included Bonds, Clemens & Piazza.

Carlos Delgado got his first vote -- no surprise it is out of Toronto with Richard Griffin's support

Always loved Trent. Don't completely agree with his ballot, but I like his reasoning and he defends his decisions well.

Based on what's out there already, about 15 percent of the vote -- all Biggio needs to get in right at 75 percent is for every holdover voter who voted for him to do the same. And 75 percent of the remaining first-time voters to vote him in. Otherwise he is going to come up single votes short. Again.

The fact that Piazza is near 80 percent this late in the game is amazing, just to show that five guys are tracking that high a percentage right now is insane.

Juan Vene improved his ballot by voting for 6 guys this year but it's Johnson, Pedro, Smoltz.....followed by Smith, McGriff and Delgado.

That actually is a step up from last year when it was Maddux, Glavine, Morris and Smith.

And that is a step up from 2012, when he went with just Morris.

"...I've always believed morality is relative, and I do not like to impose my beliefs or judge the morality of others...."

The Beheaders of ISIS would love this child.

Believe me, you would not want to live in a world where no one "judged" others.

Jesus Christ, hell of a comparison.

How high is that horse you sit on?

Just for effect, JC. Way too much moral relativity and general recoiling at the prospect of judging/being judged in the culture today. Your (generically speaking) self-esteem isn't more important than society's norms, no matter how many trophies you get just for showing up.

Every behavior and value isn't eeeeequal. Some are better than others. And we're all being judged all the time. Only the bad guys would like living in a world where it didn't happen.

Meanwhile, society's norms are ever evolving. Same as it ever was...

After weeks of ridicule, Garry Brown now says he voted for Johnson but that it was left out of his column. So Johnson is at 100 percent. The lone Pedro no vote is still anonymous
