The best player of his era is not in the hall of fame because a bunch complicit writers are choosing to punish him because baseball didn't. Until that changes your precious system is very much flawed.

It's the dumbass "Bonds was a Hall of Famer before steroids" justification.

When you watched Biggio, did you ever think to yourself that he was a HOF'er? I guess when he approached 3000, which is an amazing feat (150 hits for 20 yrs); but not before then.

Did you ever think he was better than Bagwell?

IMHO, whenever I thought of HOFer, I thought of someone who was one of the most dominant performers of his era, someone who was one of the best in the history of the game. Just didn't think Biggio was one of the best 2b ever or a dominant player in his era.

But wasn't Clemens too? If we accept the Brian McNamee/Toronto narrative, he had three Cy Youngs, an MVP and 192 wins before steroids. A couple more average/compiler seasons and he would have been in.

It's a farce that either one hasn't been voted in yet. It's a particular farce that people would vote for one or the other.

OTOH Pedro getting only 91 percent is a bigger farce than either of those, so I guess it's part of the territory.

Bonds is simply a hall of famer, so is Clemens..

That's not an argument against Biggio.

You just answered your own question. Think about some of the guys we're talking about here.

Agreed. The problem isn't that Biggio got in. The problem is that Bagwell didn't get in as well, but again, that goes back to some voters punishing anybody they even think might have done PEDs.
