Smart maxed out at VCU. Chances are, he wouldn't have made another Final Four while there. Maybe a Sweet 16 or two. I'm interested to see how many of his recruits follow him, or at least de-commit from VCU.

 

And that's the biggest thing for that program. It definitely feels like an inflection point for the program with Graham and Weber graduating and Shaka leaving. Keeping Larrier, Gilmore and the better recruits in the fold is huge for keeping their momentum going.

 

If you're VCU do you try to lure Grant back?

 

If the reports are true about the contract, Smart will get $14 million over five years.

That seems ridiculously low to me.

I figured Pitino would hold out for Florida once Donovan bolts.

 

I would be very surprised if Little Pitino would get the UF job if Billy D leaves after this season.

Then again, I wonder if John Pelphrey and Anthony Grant would not be considered for that job because of their perceived failure at Arkansas and Alabama.
