Richard Pitino says he's staying at Minnesota, though he didn't get a raise or an extension, which makes me wonder how serious Alabama was about hiring him.

It doesn't surprise me. Donovan is his mentor and Donovan was highly critical of Alabama for firing Grant, so I would not be surprised at all if he was told he was better off to avoid that job.

Or they never offered it to him at all.

Speaking of Jeff Jones, ODU is getting the other Stith kid now in a transfer from UVa. The Monarchs should be pretty good over the next few years and might have a shot to move up the pecking order in that part of the country with Shaka heading to Texas.

Still trying to figure out Arizona State.
For as quickly as Tennessee moved in hiring and firing, it seeme like Arizona State fired Sendek, and now it appears they're just sitting there doing nothing.

There are rumors that Devon Hall might make the same move, although ODU doesn't currently have a scholarship for him. He lost playing time as the year went on, but would be really good in CUSA.

The last time they won a conference title, I wasn't born and I'm 41.

Bowling Green now open. The administration didn't like his hands-on approach.

That won't exactly set off a nationwide domino effect.

I thought their target was Jeff Capel, who is not available to interview just yet.
