I'm the opposite. I always root for David to take down Goliath.

Have not seen many Kentucky games this year, but wow, their defense just smothered Cincy. The Bearcats battled them on defense, but I think a team needs more outside shooting to have a chance against the Wildcats.

Maybe Arizona is that team ... that's how my Final Four looks [/noonecares]

    Yep. Underdogs make great stories.

There are underdogs every year, and most times they're soon forgotten. Teams don't have a chance to go 40-0 every year.

Are the teams in Kentucky's way underdogs in any sense of the word? Arizona is not an underdog, nor is Wisconsin, nor, for God's sake, Duke. Gonzaga isn't really one either.

Maybe Calipari can get another Final Four vacated. History!

Maybe if Wichita State beats Notre Dame, but we already saw that game last year.

I think so too. You need luck / variance to be on your side, and to just get hot against them. Otherwise, they just have so much size at every position, and plenty of size coming off the bench too. They can just wear teams down or smother them if they're relying on drives and post-ups.

I kinda want Kentucky to run the table just for the inevitable debate on how Calipari is making a mockery of the system with his one-and-dones.

They're all underdogs next to Kentucky.

Have you seen Kentucky? If any team is Goliath, it's the Wildcats. It looks like everyone on that team is 6-10 or bigger except that little freshman guard. Compared to them, everybody else is David.

I would be curious how Gonzaga winning the national title would be treated. I'm sure Gonzaga beating Kentucky would be treated as David vs. Goliath, but Gonzaga is a No. 2 seed and has been a top team for almost 15 years.

I am not saying Kentucky doesn't look overpowering, because it has. But the teams it's liable to meet from here on in are traditional powers themselves. I refuse to think of a Duke title as an upset.
