I never got a bad story when I covered Knight. Of course, I only did so about once every other year.

True story from the 1992 west regional in The Pit. I was there.
News conference day before Indiana plays FSU (the FSU with future No. 1 draft picks Ward, Cassell and Edwards). Reporter for the student paper gets the, identifies herself as so and so from the IU student paper. Knight turns immediately to famed SID flunky Kit Klinhoffer and says, "Damn it Kit. I thought I told you to have that place blown up."
Student reporter says in an attempt at humor, "I think it's still there."
Knight responds: "Have you called the office recently?"

Am I a bad person for laughing at that? :D

I remember Knight's expletive-heavy tirade when someone called Indiana's NCAA tournament loss to Richmond an "upset" in his question at the postgame press conference. I remember Knight egging on the fans to heckle reporters at his introductory press conference at Texas Tech -- after insisting that the fans, who were supposed to have been cleared out of the venue before the PC began, be allowed to stay. I also remember his six-second press conference after Tech lost to Texas in the Big 12 tournament.

    What a guy.

Will Huggins thug it up? Harrison Blood on the floor?

I can't wait for the Huggins movie.
And you know Jim Belushi needs the work.

Too bad ESPN isn't doing the Junction Boys-style movies anymore.

Badgers who aren't Deker couldn't throw a brick in the ocean in the first half.

Man, EVERYTHING is a foul in this Badgers game. And Badgers still insanely cold.
